Roomy: Phone Storage Cleaner
Frequently asked questions
Does Roomy delete photos without asking me?
No. Roomy never deletes anything on its own. Every cleanup shows you exactly which photos or videos are selected, you can adjust the selection, and iOS then asks for a final system confirmation. Deleted items also remain in your Photos "Recently Deleted" album for up to 30 days.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed in your Apple account: open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → Roomy → Cancel. You can also cancel from the App Store app. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the current period ends prevents the next charge.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose the Roomy purchase.
What is SafeKeep and is it really private?
SafeKeep is an optional vault that backs up photos and videos you select. Each item is encrypted on your iPhone with AES-256 before upload, and the encryption key never leaves your device - we store only unreadable ciphertext and cannot view your content. Important: if you lose your device and its key, vault contents cannot be recovered by us.
Why does Roomy need access to my photos or contacts?
Photo access lets Roomy analyze your library on-device to find duplicates, similar shots, screenshots, and large videos. Contact access is only used if you open the duplicate-contact merge tool, and contacts never leave your phone. You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting items from your SafeKeep vault removes their encrypted copies from the cloud immediately. To have all data associated with your device removed (including the vault and its identifier), email us at [email protected] and we will process the deletion.
The app says my storage is already clean. Is that a bug?
No - if Roomy finds less than about 0.15 GB of reclaimable space, it reports your library as "Sparkling clean". New duplicates and screenshots accumulate over time, so check back after a while.
